Officer Women Leadership Symposium September 20 – 21, 2013 Women in Military Service to America, Arlington, VA The 10th Officer Women Leadership Symposium will be held September 20 – 21, 2013. This event is designed to inspire, inform and connect current, future and former women military officers from all the military services regardless of commissioning source. Senior enlisted women (E7+) are also encouraged to attend. The Officer Women Leadership Symposium is the forum in which AcademyWomen presents educational programming and networking to inspire, inform and connect current, future and former women military officers from all the military services regardless of commissioning source.  The Symposium provides an environment where women can better integrate the many dimensions required to cultivate leadership skills in a way that is distinct from other formal training opportunities. OWLS offers the opportunity to network and interact with colleagues and leaders with a diverse range of expertise, interests and experiences who inspire, model and encourage achievement of a greater level of personal and professional excellence. Career Coaching Workshop and Job Fair Women in Transition September 19, 2013 Women in Military Service to America, Arlington, VA Directly preceding the Symposium, The Career Coaching Workshop is a full day designed to assist military women who are making career transitions after their military service, women who are considering a career change and women who are interested in improving their career success. The Career Workshop will include a variety of sessions designed to help transitioning women gain a better understanding of: finding the best career fit that fuels personal passions, career options and the skills needed to succeed in various industries, the art of conducting a successful interview, creating a winning resume and developing strategies for career success. Opportunities will also be available for attendees to network with top-caliber, military friendly companies specifically interested in military women for their integrity, work ethic and leadership skills. Officers, senior enlisted and veteran women are highly encouraged to attend. Whether you’re a woman transitioning out of the military, re-entering the workforce, needing a boost to increase performance or seeking a career change…. We have something to suit your career needs.
