Elizabeth P. Hoisington

One of the first two women to attain the rank of Brigadier General

Elizabeth was the first Women's Army Corps servicewoman to be promoted to the rank of general officer and one half of the first brother and sister pair of Generals in the US military.  She appeared on the Dick Cavett, David Frost and "Today" shows, awas a guest on the popular game show "What's My Line?"  She died Aug. 21 of congestive heart failure at the Aarondale assisted living community in Springfield, where she lived. She was 88.
