Commanding officer of first American vessel to respond to the 2010 Haiti earthquake

Diane and her crew were recognized for their exceptional work during the response effort.  They completed numerous missions including search and rescue, air traffic control, critical port assessments, damage assessment overflights and medical evacuations  They were the first U.S. surface asset in the Haiti earthquake response. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated with honors in the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Wisconsin.  She was honored to receive the 2010 Captain John G. Witherspoon Inspirational Leadership Award.
